Working as a Fence Installer

The type of business you own will affect the type of fencing that will be most appropriate for you. There are many different things you will need to consider before deciding on the kind of fencing you want to have installed, one of the main things you may want to think about is;

  • Purpose – What will be the main purpose of the fencing? There are many reasons you would need to get a fence installed, one of the main reasons for a lot of businesses is for security. Although if you are in an industry that handles live stock you may require fencing to keep the live stock on your premises. No matter the need for fencing there will be a specific type of fencing out there to meet your requirements.

Once you have decided on the purpose of the fencing it will make it a lot easier for the fencing company to determine what kind of fencing will be most suitable for you and your business.

Below are a couple of examples of purposes you may require fencing for and the types of fencing that may be suggested for you to use;

  • Security – With this being one of the main uses there are plenty of variations in this kind of fencing to choose from. One of the most wide used types of fencing in this sector is aluminium. This kind of fencing is very popular with businesses and is usually made of very high, thin pickets that have spikes along the top. It has proven to work because it is very hard to scale and once at the top the spikes make it very difficult for an intruder to get over without injuring themselves.
  • Farming – When working on a farm one of the main issues is making sure the live stock stays where it should. In this sector of work the most commonly used form of fencing is electrical fencing. The main reason for this is the fact it provides a barrier to prevent livestock from escaping and also deters them from going near the fence to begin with as they will learn the fence will shock them if touched.

These are only a couple of uses for fencing in business situations there are of course many more and if you do require fencing for a specific purpose then you will be able to ask any professional fencer for their opinion on which would be most suitable for you.
